CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES 5TH BIENNIAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

The College of Health Sciences (CHS) calls on all interested Faculty and Students of the University to submit an abstract under the theme: “Evolving Dynamics of Cancer Epidemiology” for consideration by the CHS Biennial Scientific Conference Committee. 

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations should be submitted according to the following guidelines:

1.       All abstracts should be structured as follows:

a.       Title and authors (underline presenting author)

b.       Aims(s) or objective(s)

c.       Methods

d.       Results

e.       Discussion and conclusion

2.       Must not exceed 250 words and with a font size of 12

3.       Abstracts should be related to one of the underlisted sub-themes:

a.       The Changing Epidemiology of Childhood Cancers

b.       Molecular Basis of Cancer Treatment and Innovations

c.       Cancers of the Infectious Origin; Prevention Strategies

d.       Carcinogenic Compounds and Cancers in Ghana

e.       Herbal Medication and Cancer Management/Care

f.        Cancer Diagnosis, Prospects, Attitudes, and Beliefs of the Ghanaian

g.       Economics of Cancer Care in Ghana

4.       All abstracts should be submitted electronically via email: chssciencecon@ug.edu.gh

6.       Awards will be presented to the following categories of presenters:

•        Best Young Scientist

•        Best Postgraduate and Research Assistant for Oral Presentation

•        Best Postgraduate and Research Assistant for Poster Presentation
